QUT Virtual contains the information that the University currently holds about you, like your mailing address, personal and statistical details. If the information is incorrect or blank, insert the correct information. You will then need to submit these details to ensure your records are updated. You can do this at any time.
You can view and update your stored personal details in the personal information tab.
Click Update mailing address, personal and statistical details to make a change.
Mailing address
You must provide an accurate and reliable mailing address for correspondence with the University and promptly notify the University of any change of address. Failure to receive a notice because of change of address is not a sufficient excuse for missing a deadline or obligation. When University correspondence is sent to your recorded mailing address QUT expects that you have received it.
Most correspondence will be sent to you via email to your QUT student email account so please ensure you regularly check your QUT email account. The Student IT Services Guide listed in the Services section of this site will assist you with this.
Personal details
You will also be required to check your statistical details that the University holds on its records. You are required by the Commonwealth Government to provide personal information for both record keeping and statistical purposes. QUT has a very strict policy on confidentiality and this information will not be used for any other purposes. For further information refer to QUT's Privacy Policy.
